Mobile Fuel System Service

The fuel system delivers a precisely metered amount of fuel under controlled pressure. When it underperforms — pump, regulator, injectors, filter — the engine runs poorly, starts hard, or refuses to start at all.

Common symptoms

  • "The car is hard to start"
  • "Fuel economy has gotten much worse"
  • "The engine runs rough at idle"
  • "I smell fuel near the car"

What we check

  1. 01 Static and running fuel pressure
  2. 02 Fuel pump operation and current draw
  3. 03 Fuel filter condition and replacement interval
  4. 04 Injector balance, leak-down and pulse data
  5. 05 Fuel pressure regulator behavior under load

Both gasoline and diesel fuel systems can be tested and serviced. Diesel high-pressure systems require additional care and specific tooling.

Most fuel system service is well-suited to mobile work, including filter replacement, sensor replacement, and many pump replacements depending on access.

A note on shop equipment

Some repairs cannot be completed safely at a mobile location. After the diagnostic, we will tell you whether the work can be done on-site or whether shop equipment is required, before any repair begins.
